D. Leola Carr
D. Leola Carr, of Celina, age 87, passed away on Sunday May 1, 2016 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1928 in Willshire, Ohio to the late Homer V. and Wilma A. (McGough) Minx. On August 18, 1946 she married Robert E. Carr, who died Sept. 30, 1992.
Survivors include her five sons Robert Jr. and Nan Carr of Wheeling, WV, Rex and Joan Carr of Celina, Charles and Linda Carr of Owosso, MI, Mark and Diane Carr of Yukon, OK, Gary and Cyndi Carr of Celina, 16 grandchildren, Travis and Casey Carr, Tiffany and Frank Judge, Jennifer and Chris Runte, Tara and Jeremy Homan, Sarah and Brian Arman, Anna and Paul Roth, Brian and Julie Carr, Eric and Heather Carr, Melissa and Tony Crooks, Lindsay and Mickey Henry, Leah and Bo Goff, Amy and Nathan Colley, Cory and Ashley Carr, Adam and Candra Carr, Elizabeth Carr, Rebekah Carr, 21 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Wanda Gilliland, Chattanooga.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters Joy Ewell and Patty Bess, and a brother-in-law Doyle Gilliland.
Leola graduated from the Willshire High School with the Class of 1946. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina and a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Women's organization.
Family was her life, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her kindness and the generous lifestyle she lived.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday May 5, 2016 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. Matt Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home and one hour before services on Thursday morning at the Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's United Methodist Church Building Fund.
