Thecla Heitkamp age 78 of Maria Stein, Ohio died on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Celina Manor.

She was born May 14, 1937 in McCartyville, Ohio to the late John & Caroline (Kuether) Albers. She married David Heitkamp on July 2, 1958 in McCartyville and he survives in Minster.

She is also survived by ten children: Cathy & Ron Buck, St. Marys, Jeff & Sandy Heitkamp, Maria Stein, Corrine & Eric Barhorst, Lakeview, Darlene & Ed Bohman, Osgood, Connie & Tim Cromer, Ansonia, Steve & Deb Heitkamp, McCartyville, Marcia & Ed Frey, Osgood, Ed & Kathy Heitkamp, Maria Stein, Mary Beth & Keith Hatfield, Tipp City, Larry & Lisa Heitkamp, Osgood, 33 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Rose & Alfred Gehret, McCartyville, Regina & Art Fischer, Versailles, Aloys & Connie Albers, McCartyville, Vernon Albers, McCartyville, Joanne Bills, St. Marys, Henry & Bernice Albers, McCartyville, Marvin & Rosie Albers McCartyville, Mary & Fred Winner, Osgood, Teresa Albers, McCartyville, John & Sherrie Albers, Texas, Leonard & Lou Ann Albers McCartyville and brother-in-law Robert Hilgefort, Sidney.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Ann Heitkamp, sister Rita Hilgefort and brother-in-law Cyril Bills.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, Ohio and a retired Registered Nurse.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Minster on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
