Marie Minnich
Marie Magdaline Minnich, age 95 of Coldwater, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born August 22, 1920 in Trinity, IN to the late Anthony & Edith (Bonifas) Minnich.
After her mother's death in 1922 she lived with her godmother and aunt and uncle Lena & Peter Schmit, she moved to Coldwater in 1923 and attended Holy Trinity School.
She is preceded in death by siblings Virgil Minnich, Agnes & Orville Bricher, Olen & Aline Minnich and Edna & Eugene Osting.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She worked for 43 years at the former Buckeye Apparel in Coldwater. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality, she helped with inserts in the church bulletin since they started, took Communion to shut ins, helped with blood drives and bingo at Briarwood and volunteered at the school cafeteria, Community Hospital auxiliary and the adoration of holy hours at Maria Stein.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow In St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday and 9 to 10 am Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Briarwood Activity Fund.
