Margaret Miley
Margaret Miley, 87, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 20, 2016.
She was born April 11, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of George and Ann (Gardner) Dolph.
She married Harry Miley on September 4, 1948, at Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Church in Dayton, and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2015.
She is survived by her two sons, Jack (Cindy) Miley of Celina; David (Connie) Miley of Saint Marys; by her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Miley of Saint Marys. She is survived by her grandchildren: Jason Miley; Matthew Miley; Andrew Miley; Melissa Sturgill; Julie Morgan; Peggy Miley; Jay Miley; by fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Rita Miley of Saint Marys; Grace Miley of Holland, Ohio; Hazel Miley of Otis, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and by a son, James A. Miley.
Margaret was a graduate of Julienne High School in Dayton, and Wright State University. She retired from Holy Rosary School in Saint Marys, where she taught for many years.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality of the church. She loved to read, and assisted in writing the church history book of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 26, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, the Reverend Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Holy Rosary School Library.
