Arthur McEwen
Arthur R. McEwen, 78, Saint Marys, Ohio, died suddenly at 3:33 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.
He was born October 28, 1937, in Grove City, Pennsylvania, the son of Arthur and Mary (Morrison) McEwen. He married Sue Jonker on May 28, 1961, in Quincy, Michigan, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his two daughters: Keri (Ronald) Ellinger of Celina; Deborah (Gerald) Brussell of New Bremen; by his two grandchildren, Christopher Ellinger and Katelyn Brussell. He is also survived by a brother, Richard McEwen of Saint Marys.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Art was a 1955 graduate of Grove City High School. He was the Assistant Grocery Manager of Wagner's IGA in Minster and New Bremen, and had been the manager of Scranton's Cardinal Grocery in Saint Marys.
He loved to feed the birds and travel. He will be sadly missed by his beloved cats.
Funeral rites will be held 3:30 P.M. Monday, January 4, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
