* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Walter Abels
Walter L. Abels, age 82, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died on November 21, 2015 at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, Ohio.
He was born September 24, 1933, in Fort Recovery, to the late Urban and Mary (Braun) Abels. On February 7, 1970, he married Marceil (Heitkamp) Abels, who died August 15, 2010.
Surviving are two daughters, Tina (Jerry) Reynard of Portland, IN and Pam (Chad) Bechtol of Portland, IN; five siblings, Carroll (Marlene) Abels of Fort Recovery, OH, Paul (Roberta) Abels of St. Henry, OH, Delores Nieport of St. Henry, OH, Joanne Neargardner of Versailles, OH, and Jim (Nancy) Abels of Fort Recovery; and five grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his brothers, Elmer, Ralph, and Eugene Abels, and a sister, Mary Jane Larger.
Walter retired from the former Avco New Idea, Coldwater. He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, OH, with Fr. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday and 9:30 am-10:30 am Wednesday at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
