George Stevens Sr.
George E. Stevens Sr., 70, of Celina died at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born in Evarts, KY to Amos Gordon & Audrey (Homan) Richards. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives. On September 23, 1966 he married Linda D. Stevens and she passed away on January 18, 2013.
Survivors also include a son George E. "Eddie" & Kelly Stevens Jr., of Detroit, MI, a daughter Jackie Stevens-Sholler of Celina and 6 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother Thomas Richards.
George worked at Huffy's in Celina for over 25 years. He enjoyed camping, traveling and especially going to the "Smokies."
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday November 16, 2015 at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. Pastor Randy Christian officiated. Burial followed at Mercer Memory Gardens.
Calling was 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
