Celina wasn't about to be one of them.
The Bulldogs took it to the Redskins, ranked ninth in the latest Division II state coaches' poll, from start to finish and handed them their first loss of the season, 2-0, on Tuesday night at the soccer stadium in Celina. [More]

MONTEZUMA - A plan to get a head start this fall on earth-moving work at a third proposed treatment train site was nearly thwarted by legislative limits on the local Lake Facilities Authority.
CELINA - Despite an elevated public health advisory issued this summer by the Ohio Department Health, one state official on Tuesday afternoon gave a positive assessment of the lake to Celina Rotary Club members.
Legislature repeals reimbursement law, effective next week
CELINA - County officials on Tuesday rejected a claim for reimbursement by a local farmer whose poultry were killed Sept. 12 by a roaming dog.
The claim was filed by Andrew Heindel, 5612 U.S. 33, Mendon who sought $766 from the county for the loss of 62 birds including 10 turkeys.
ST. MARYS - An alley will remain public property after a homeowner at Tuesday's planning commission meeting withdrew his request to vacate a section of the roadway.
MINSTER - After dropping the first set, St. Henry scored 15 of the last 19 points in the second set and Minster never recovered.

On the football field, the Celina-St. Marys rivalry will continue in the Battle of Grand Lake on Oct. 9 at Celina Stadium.
