St. Henry firefighters work to extinguish a fire in a pickup truck and trailer at 10:49 a.m. Thursday after a crash with a tractor that injured three people on state Route 119, east of Fleetfoot Road, in rural St. Henry. Robert Broering, 71, Maria Stein, was ejected from the John Deere tractor, at left, and taken by squad to Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, for treatment of serious injuries, according to a sheriff's office report. The truck driver, Adam Ward, 26, Ansonia, and a passenger, Maverick Canada, 24, Greenville, claimed injury but were not transported. Both vehicles reportedly were westbound when Ward attempted to pass the tractor as Broering turned left into a private drive. Another injury crash involving a tractor occurred Thursday evening on state Route 219 in Auglaize County. Details were not available from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
