Students Wednesday afternoon spring into action at Laffalot Summer Camp at Fort Recovery Elementary School. Principal Tracy Hein-Evers said 45 students, between the ages of 6 and 12, enrolled in the weeklong summer camp. The camp focuses on promoting teamwork through nearly nonstop physical activities including jump rope, basketball, kickball, capture the flag, dodgeball and other sports. This is the first year the school has hosted the camp. Teachers Abby Scheidt and Marcia Weigel and four teen aides led the children through various activities on Wednesday.
