Smoke clears

Southwest Mercer firefighters on Monday afternoon clear smoke from the former fire station in the 200 block of North Wayne Street in Fort Recovery. When firefighters arrived about 4 p.m., flames were coming from a food smoker in the building, assistant chief Dan Wendel said. It took firefighters about 10 minutes to extinguish the fire.
