Local courts prepare after same-sex decision

Probate courts in Mercer and Auglaize counties are prepared for the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court's same-sex marriage ruling.
The 5-4 ruling on Friday declared same-sex couples have the right to marry anywhere in the United States.
Ohio was of 14 states still enforcing bans on same-sex marriage. [More]

Standard Register future up in the air
COLDWATER - A mega-graphics communications company has purchased Standard Register, which operates a business in Mercer County.
Taylor Corp., based in Minnesota, this week acquired the Dayton-based company in a bankruptcy auction. The sale is expected to be complete in 45 to 60 days.
Mariners get win over Steam
