Verena Bohman
Verena Agnes (Meier) Bohman, 97 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Saturday June 13, 2015 at 12:50 AM at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio.
She was born April 4, 1918 in Maria Stein, Ohio the daughter of the late Bernard & Elizabeth (Heitkamp) Meier.
She was a devoted farm wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a Parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown and St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. She enjoyed bowling, needlework, friendships among residents and staff at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Elmer Bohman; 1 grandchild: Michael Drees; Son in law: Joe Grieshop; brothers & sisters: Aloys, Roman, Blanche (Osterloh), and Luella (Bruns).
She is survived by her children & spouses: Orville & Norma Bohman, Angela Grieshop, Karen & Alvin Drees, Jane & Linus Grieshop, Tom & Joann Bohman, David & Christine Bohman, & Linda & Gary Steinbrunner; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 20, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church 14 E. Wood Street Versailles, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Ron Haft Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday June 19, 2015 and from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Saturday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be given as Masses or to State of the Heart Hospice.
