St. Marys couple start training process
ST. MARYS - Rider, a 12-week-old golden retriever, is as curious as a toddler.
"We have to watch him almost every second. You just never know what he is going to get into," said his trainers Doug and Julie Metz of St. Marys, who are teaching the pup to one day aid the blind or visually impaired.
Officials from the State Highway Patrol and local sheriffs offices are concerned about plans to increase the speed limit on state highways. Local trucking company officials are also worried about the proposal.
