Mary Ann Timmerman
Mary Ann Mangen Timmerman, 64, Fort Loramie, passed away in the early morning of Dec. 6, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 29, 1950, in Versailles, to O. George and Julia O'Reilly Mangen. Her mother survives in Versailles. On May 12, 1972, at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, she married Thomas G. Timmerman, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Julie (Anthony) Bodoh, Nashville, Tenn., Jennifer (Matthew) Sherman, Fort Loramie, Angela (Gary) Grilliot, Yorkshire, Gregory (Elizabeth) Timmerman, Fort Loramie, and Dr. Sarah (Craig) Werner, Fort Loramie; 12 grandchildren, Katrina and Hannah Bodoh, Jacob, Ethan, Kateri and Conner Sherman, Whitney and Dylan Timmerman, and Sophia, Aila, Celia and Emma Lee Werner; seven siblings, Barbara (Fred) Labo, Downingtown, Pa., Anthony (Joanne) Mangen, Houston, Jerome (Deborah) Mangen, Cedar Vale, Kan., Daniel Mangen, Chile, South America, David (Linda) Stebbins Mangen, Greenville, Theresa (Steven) Kirner, Troy, and Rose (William) Biehl, College Station, Texas; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann (Chris Pehoski) Mangen, Amherst, Wis., James (Janie) Timmerman, Fort Recovery, Barbara Phlipot, Russia, Joseph (Deborah) Timmerman, Russia, Stephen (Sandra) Timmerman, Burkettsville, Raymond (Karen) Timmerman, New Bremen, Paul (Patty) Timmerman, Fort Loramie, Michael (Ann) Timmerman, Fort Loramie, Patrick (Diane) Timmerman, Minster, Norbert Timmerman, Minster, Maurice (Ann Meyer) Timmerman, New Bremen, and Theresa (Jack) Keiber, Russia; and numerous additional relatives and close friends.
Deceased are two brothers, Michael and Allen Mangen; in-laws, Wilfred and Rita Wagner Timmerman and Jean Hill Timmerman; a brother-in-law, Harry Phlipot; and a sister-in-law, Marcia Timmerman.
She was a BSRN with a specialty in epidemiology. She also had earned master's degrees in health communications and naturopathy. She retired with over 35 years of service at the former Piqua Memorial Medical Center and Upper Valley Medical Center. She then practiced as a licensed massage therapist. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and served many years as a Fort Loramie Rescue Squad volunteer.
She was known for her generosity, kindness, gentle spirit and complete dedication to her family. She persisted in a lifelong quest for knowledge. She had a passion for helping others find ways to live healthier lives, utilizing holistic methods.
She was a master gardener and beekeeper. She loved music and enjoyed traveling the world. She will be missed forever by her family, dearest friends and all who loved her.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Church, Fort Loramie, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at St. Michael Cemetery; a fellowship luncheon will follow at St. Michael's Hall.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be given to the Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville.
