Betty Bumbauld
Betty N. Bumbauld, 94, Celina, passed away at 12:48 a.m. Sept. 29, 2014, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born May 9, 1920, in Mercer County, to Charles and Mellie Buck Howell. On Oct. 6, 1941, she married Stanley "Si" E. Bumbauld, who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Daniel (Rebecca) Bumbauld, Zionsville, Ind.; a daughter, Debra (Dale) Bruns, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Lelah Florence Howell, Celina; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased are a daughter, Kelly Jo (John) Schwegman; two brothers, Russell Howell and Donald Howell; and five sisters, Madonna Reinhart, Lela Haas, Alberta Moorman, Majorie Sommer and Maxine Gottschalk.
She was a familiar face behind the counter in Celina's bakeries for nearly 50 years, working at Benny's Bakery, Charlie's Pastry Shop and up until the time of her death, Walmart's bakery.
She was a member of Celina First Church of God, where she was active in southwestern U.S. missions work and helped produce many heirloom quilts to support church activities.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Bruce Strine officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice and Celina First Church of God.
