Eileen Bruns
Eileen M. Bruns, 84, Burkettsville, died Sept. 15, 2014, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 19, 1930, in St. Henry, to Henry and Anna Broerman Gels. On July 9, 1949, she married Eugene "Shorty" Bruns, who survives.
Other survivors are four children, Linda Klosterman, Celina, James Bruns, Mount Gilead, Sharon Triplett, Celina, and Ann VanDenBosch, Coldwater; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ken (Joyce) Gels, Livermore, Calif., Lois Ann (Dennis) Brunswick, Coldwater, Robert (Norma) Gels, Eaton, Frank "Bud" (Lorae) Gels, Englewood, and Ralph (Janet) Gels, Coldwater.
Deceased are two sons-in-law, Mike Klosterman and Gary VanDenBosch; a daughter-in-law, Alice Bruns; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Janice (Joe) Hart and Mary Lou (Rolly) Weis.
She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and its Christian Mothers, and the Daughters of Isabella, St. Henry.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
