Deceased woman named; officials probing cause

By Margie Wuebker
COLDWATER - Authorities have released the name of a woman found dead at her home Sunday afternoon.
The body of Angela M. Broerman, 47, 415 S. First St., Coldwater, was found shortly before 5 p.m., according to Sgt. Kyle Dues of the Coldwater Police Department. The cause of death is considered suspicious and remains under investigation.
Coldwater Police Chief Jason Miller said no details are being released. Authorities are awaiting results from an autopsy performed Monday at the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, he said.
Medics were called to the home after relatives reportedly went there to check on Broerman's welfare. The 911 call placed from the home at 4:53 p.m. indicated she may have been dead for several days.
Miller said his department is being assisted in the investigation.
"We are working in conjunction with BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) and the case remains under investigation," he added. "We do not want to release any information unless we are sure it's accurate."
Mercer County Sheriff's deputies and the county prosecutor's office also were called to the Coldwater home Sunday night.
Broerman was employed at Mercer Health in Coldwater.
Her obituary appears in today's newspaper.
