Dolores Schwieterman
Dolores "Dee" Culver Slone Schwieterman, 67, most recently of Piqua, went to reside in heaven with our Lord, God and Savior on June 28, 2014, after a battle with colon cancer.
She was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Celina, to Fred and Cornelia Eyink Culver, and truly impacted the world from that day forward. She knew no stranger and truly loved everyone. No one could argue he or she was not touched by the special love and beauty she put out for the world to feel. Her loss will be significant to those who knew her well.
Surviving are her husband, Matt Schwieterman Jr.; nine children, Heather Slone (Scott Johnson) and their children, Blaine, Hadley, Blythe, Caryss and Quinne; Thad (Susan) Slone and their children, Dustin Greenwald, Grace, Lilly, Thad Jr. and Clay; Jason (Stacy Dodger) Slone; Shanda Slone (Ryan Stammen) and their children, Slone, Olivia, Cohen and Cross; Matt Schwieterman; Misty Schwieterman (John Cox) and their children, Josh, Joel and Addison; Kyle (Michelle) Schwieterman; Josh (Stacy Brynlee) Schwieterman; and Jesse (Loraine) Schwieterman, and their children, Elise, Cara and baby; five siblings, Ronda (Jim) Uhlenhake, Judy (Doug) Eblen, Mary (Larry) McMurray, Fred Culver, Brenda (John) Kaiser; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends that she considered family.
Deceased is her twin brother, Danny, who died shortly after birth.
She specifically requested that no traditional funeral be held in her honor, but she desired a Catholic Mass at the church of her youth, Immaculate Conception, Celina, which will be at 10:30 a.m. July 10. Lunch will directly follow.
She specifically requested her family and friends to celebrate her life, and they will do so 6-9 p.m. July 11 at a private location in Troy. Directions will be available at the church service.
She wished all to remember her vibrant and healthy, the way she will be restored in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made on her behalf to Hospice of Miami County, where she made lots of amazing friends.
She also wanted everyone who helped, sent a card/message or prayed for her to know she appreciated it and loved you. She was so touched and humbled by every loving act.
If you are unable to attend her celebration, she would want you to eat a piece of good chocolate or your favorite dessert, drink a glass of red wine - preferably a merlot - or organic coffee, and dance in fond remembrance of her. Just dance…
