Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

Ralph Thaman
Ralph J. Thaman, 92, Anna, died at 1:22 a.m. June 9, 2014, at his residence. He had been ailing for six months.
He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in McCartyville, to Frank and Mary (Berning) Thaman. On May 20, 1947, he married Mary Ann Hoying in St. Patrick, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Carol Ann Carity, McCartyville, Jim and Carol (Bell) Thaman, Phenix City, Ala.; Sharon and James Maurer, Kettlersville; and Ruth Ann and Michael Kohler, Botkins; 12 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Frank and Jeanette (Steinke-Eustache) Thaman, Sidney; Lawrence and Vera (Seger) Thaman, Botkins; Leo and Barbara Thaman, Arizona, and Marilyn (Curtis) Thaman, Fort Loramie.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. (Dick) Thaman; a son-in-law, Larry J. Carity; brothers, Paul, Arthur and Urban Thaman; sister-in-law, Virginia (Eustache) Thaman; and one great-grandchild.
He was the owner of Thaman's Plumbing & Heating in McCartyville and the owner of Thaman's Plumbery in Sidney. He was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, McCartyville. He served in the Army Air Force from 1942-1945 as a staff sergeant in the 18th Repair Squadron stationed in Iran. He was a member of FOE 1391, Minster, the Elks, American Legion and VFW in Sidney and the Knights of Columbus in McCartyville. In 1979, he was named the Businessman of the Year by the American Business Women's Association in Minster, was past president and member of Anna Rescue Squad, head of the building committee for the Rescue Squad, a volunteer at Wilson Hospital and the K of C Friday Night Bingo in Minster and Grand Marshal of the 2009 St. Patrick's Day Parade in McCartyville. He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, fishing, bowling and making macrame chairs.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, McCartyville, the Rev. John Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, The Center for Neurological Development, Wilson Hospice and Anna Rescue Squad.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, has charge of arrangements.
