This ignition interlock device was installed Thursday at B&B Auto Repair, Wapakoneta. A driver must blow into the device prior to the vehicle's engine being allowed to start. If any alcohol is detected, the vehicle will not start. Current law mandates the device be placed on vehicles after a driver is convicted for operating a vehicle under the influence for a second time, but new legislation would mandate the locks be installed after a person's first conviction.
