* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Barbara Schmidt
Barbara Ann W. Schmidt, 87, New Bremen, died at 1 p.m. March 25, 2014, at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen.
She was born Jan. 28, 1927, in New Bremen, to Adolf and Mariann Blanke Pape. On April 18, 1953, she married Everett F. Schmidt, who died May 4, 1981.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue (Lester) Schmackers, New Bremen; a son, Mark (Chris) Schmidt, Minster; eight grandchildren, Carrie (Aaron) Buettner, Steve Greber, Courtney Schmackers, Casey Schmidt, Sydney Schmidt, Madison Schmidt and Eric Schmidt; and three great-grandchildren, Griffin Greber and Ethan and Nikolay Buettner.
Also deceased is her sister, Marjorie Metzger.
She was a lifetime and faithful member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, where she had been a member of the Christian Service Guild. She was a member and past president of the American Legion Post 241 Auxiliary, New Bremen. She was a 1944 graduate of New Bremen High School.
She enjoyed playing her piano and organ, bowling and golfing for many years in different leagues and playing cards and games with her grandchildren. She worked as a secretary at the former Beatrice Foods and Tranco, New Bremen, and later as a sales clerk at Hudson's Jewelers, St. Marys.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and at 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the church.
