Charles Birt
Charles Joseph Birt, 62, died March 14, 2014, at his residence in Swartz Creek, Mich., of complications from multiple sclerosis.
He was born July 15, 1951, to Doyle and Mary Jane (Schwieterman) Birt of Montezuma.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; eight children; two brothers, Ron (Cindy Richards) Birt, Athens, and Alan (Pepper Anderson) Birt, Montezuma; and a sister, Jeanette (Bill) Muhlenkamp, Dallas, Texas.
He was a 1969 graduate of Celina High School and played for the school's 10-0 winning football team. He graduated from John Carroll University, Cleveland, and was retired from the banking industry.
Funeral rites will be held March 18, 2014, at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, with burial in Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer, Mich.
