Timothy Makley
Timothy J. Makley, 60, New Knoxville, died at 6:53 a.m. March 3, 2014, at his residence, following a short illness.
He was born April 10, 1953, in Celina, to George and Ruth Baker Makley. He married Julie M. Wendel on April 29, 1983, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, and she survives at the residence.
Also surviving are two daughters, Hannah Makley, New Knoxville, and Caitlin Makley, New Knoxville; two sisters, Rebecca Watercutter, Celina, and Sarah (Jack) Schrolucke, New Knoxville; and a brother, Tom Makley (Taffy Campbell), Spencerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Makley and Ruth Makley Huwer; his in-laws, Joe and Joann Hainline Wendel; a sister-in-law, Louise Wendel Rye; a brother-in-law, Marvin Watercutter; and a niece, Julie Makley.
He was a 1971 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and was employed as an operator at the St. Marys water treatment plant. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
Funeral rites will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, with Deacon Martin Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, where memorial gifts may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or the Arthur James Cancer Hospital.
