Edith C. Doenges, 59, St. Marys, died at 6:40 a.m. Dec. 31, 2013.

She was born March 23, 1954, in Celina, to Lawrence and Leona Stachler Schwieterman, who preceded her in death. She married Bill L. Doenges May 26, 1975, and he survives at their residence.

Survivors include four sons, Kevin (Cecelia) Doenges, Columbus, Jonathan Doenges, Grove City, Louis Doenges and fiancee Molly McNamara, Canton, and Rob Doenges, Fishers, Ind.; two daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Davis, Columbus, and Michele (James) Hudson, Troy; six brothers, Lee Roy (Judy) Schwieterman, Morgantown, Ind., Daniel (Anna) Schwieterman, Houston, Texas, Vern (Judy) Schwieterman, Citrus Springs, Fla., Lloyd (Kathy) Schwieterman, Celina, Stan Schwieterman, Dallas, Texas, and Art Schwieterman, St. Marys; two sisters, Myra (John) Hileman, Celina, and Kay (Tim) Wenning, Celina; and six grandchildren, Max and Allison Davis, Cathy and Heidi Hudson, Leona Doenges and baby Doenges on the way.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Alvin Schwieterman.

She was a 1972 graduate of Marion Local HIgh School and worked for 40 years at Reynolds and Reynolds, Celina. She was an avid member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, and enjoyed traveling, baking and gardening. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a fun-loving grandma who had many great friends. Bill and Edith have always felt very blessed to both have come from large and wonderful families.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Church, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.

Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
