Margaret Schmitz
Margaret A. "Maggie" Schmitz, 57, Edwardsville, Ill. died at 10:15 p.m. Dec. 19, 2013, at her home.
She owned Maggie's Primitive Cottage in Edwardsville.
She was born June 2, 1956, in Hancock, Mich., to William "McGee" McMahon and Mary Beauchamp McMahon. She married Ronald E. Schmitz on Feb. 4, 1978, in Hubbell, Mich., and he survives.
Other survivors are a son, Brian P. (Maggie) Schmitz, Edwardsville; a brother, Francis (Darlene) McMahon, Chassell, Mich.; and a sister, Jean Scolaro, Indianapolis, Ind.
She was a member at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. Jeff Goeckner officiating. According to her wishes, she will be cremated.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
