Barbara Nedderman
Barbara L. Nedderman, 74, New Bremen, died Nov. 18, 2013, at 12:41 p.m. at the St. Marys Living Center, St. Marys.
She was born Aug. 22, 1939, near Celina, to Irvin and Lela Wilrath Meyer. On Oct. 27, 1962, she married Bernard Nedderman, who survives in St. Marys.
Also surviving are their children, Brenda (Jon) Stocker, Elida; Beverly (Todd) Frideger, New Bremen, and Brian Nedderman, Celina; grandchildren, Adam and Andrea Stocker, Elida, and Shelby and Alec Frideger, New Bremen; and a brother, Ned (Kathy) Meyer, Celina.
Preceding her in death along with her parents was a sister, Ruby Ann Meyer.
She was a 1957 graduate of Rockford High School. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, where she was active in the Altar Guild, Grace Circle, and Sewing Circle of the church. She also was active with the Satellite B Group of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen. She retired in 2003 after working for 26 years at Celina Insurance Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed many trips they took to Siesta Key, Fla.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Gramza and Rev. Dr. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Bell Tower Fund or Grand Lake Hospice.
