Ginny L. Killingsworth, 73, Celina, passed away Oct. 28, 2013, at her residence in Celina.

She was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Dayton, to Earl Killingsworth and Fairel (Stetler) Jahnigen.

Survivors include her twin sister, Ginger Dee Luth, Rockford, a brother, Patrick Clem Jahnigen, Bellefontaine; nieces and nephews, Sean Jahnigen, Celina; Cody Jahnigen, Fort Wayne, Ind., Timothy Bigelow, Phoenix, Ariz., Kristi Burch, Rockford; and Kim and Brad Rammel, Rockford; great-nieces and great-nephews, Pierce Jahnigen, Bellefontaine, Sam, Eli, Luke and Adam Bigelow, Phoenix, Brandi and Justin William, Cygnet, Tim Burch, Rockford, Bria Rammel, Rockford, Brooke Rammel, Rockford; a cousin, Beth Ann and Rick Murphy; two second cousins, Greg Murphy and Tasha Murphy; and good friend, Jerry Bigelow.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Lee Jahnigen, a brother-in-law, John Luth and her stepfather, Clem Jahnigen.

Ginny was dropped at birth, which broke her spine at the base of her neck. She was paralyzed from the waist down and never walked. She was in a wheelchair her whole life.

After her grandparents passed away, she began working doing alterations for the Men's Shop in Celina for five years. She then started baby-sitting for 20 years and provided childcare to over 175 children. She was employed by the Mercer County Farm Services until she became ill. She then created her own business called Ginny's Spinning Wheels, specializing in cakes, catering and silk flower arrangements for weddings, graduations, anniversaries, prom and all occasions. Her business grew into making wedding veils, jewelry, candy, cookies, pies, noodles and sewing, all done from her wheelchair.

She was raised to be a hard worker and not to be "handicapped." She eventually learned to drive. Her grandparents inspired her and encouraged her to live life to the fullest. Their support gave her the courage and understanding that she could do anything she set her mind to doing. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, with the Rev. Kati Hayes officiating.

Calling is 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens.
