Israel B. "Izy" Menuez, 40, Warren, formerly of Millersburg and Celina, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 1, 2013, at his home in Warren.

He was born Dec. 21, 1972, in Warren, to Duane Schaeffer and Ann Elizabeth Menuez. His mother preceded him in death. His father survives in Warren. On Aug. 21, 1999, he married Brandy Messner, who survives.

He is loved and remembered by his adoptive parents, Gene and Vicky Menuez, Millersburg; his father and stepmother, Duane and Holly Schaeffer; his best friend, Brandy Menuez; his son, Isaiah B. Menuez; family members, Mame (Don) Butler, Bowling Green, Ruth (Lon) Briggs, Arizona, Matt (Dawna) Menuez, Wooster, Mary (Kent) Miller, New Knoxville, Loni Menuez, Millersburg, Gina (Ian) Borton, Michigan, Nate Schaeffer, Florida, and Lindsay Schaeffer-Tomlinson, California, and many more family and friends.

He was a 1991 graduate of West Holmes High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved music, his guitar and the annual camping trips he had with his son. He had a smile that would light up a room and he always had a good word to say about everyone.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Gateway Fellowship in Millersburg, the Rev. Duane Galbraith officiating.   

Calling will be 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Gateway Fellowship.

Memorial donations may be given to The Isaiah Menuez College Trust Fund through any Chase Bank location.
