Marita Joan Mattingly, 79, Coldwater, died Aug. 30, 2013, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Coldwater, to John and Marie (Buschur) Winhoven. On May 22, 1954, she married her husband of 59 years, William Simeon Mattingly, of Loretto, Kentucky, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and he survives.

Other survivors are a daughter, Mary Joan (Ray) Belkofer, New Albany; three sons, James (Deborah) Mattingly, Phillipsburg; Robert (Mary) Mattingly, St. Henry, and Richard (Melanie) Mattingly, Findlay; 10 grandchildren, Alex and Ross Belkofer, Eric Master, and Bryan, Allison, Brent, Brianne, Brooke, Lydia and Lucas Mattingly; two sisters, Rosella Winhoven, Celina; and Mary Ann (John) Steinbrunner, Coldwater; a brother, Harold Winhoven, Coldwater; in-laws, David (Rita) Mattingly, Bryan Jr. (Betty) Mattingly, Mary Frances Conn, Emma Jean (Bob) Miles, Mary B. Mattingly and Ann Sophia (Tom) Barr, all of Louisville, Ky.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Virgil, Paul and Vernon Winhoven, and a sister-in-law, Esther Winhoven.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who cared for the family as they grew throughout the years. She was employed at Coldwater Hospital for 13 years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and it's St. Ann's Ladies Sodality.

A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
