* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

John Hess
John H. Hess, 88, Celina, died June 23, 2013, at Mercer County Community Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1924, in Cassella, to Michael and Mary Ronnebaum Hess. On June 19, 1948, he married Esther Budde, who survives in Celina.
He is also survived by six children, Ronald Hess of Coldwater, Richard Hess and Kenneth Hess, both of Celina, Gary (Marjorie) Hess and Carol (Edward) Dues, both of Fort Recovery, and Charles Hess of New Bremen; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanora Zumwald of Maria Stein and Ruth (Louis) Hamberg of St. Henry; and in-laws, Eileen Hess and Eileen Knapke, both of St. Henry, Ruth Youngpeter of Lima, Marie Youngpeter of Findlay, Tom Budde of Wisconsin, Alice (James) Pack of Florida, Norma Seger of Minster, Roselyn Kunemund of Minster and Kathy (Bill) Freeman of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by three children, Michael Hess, Steven Hess and Mary Neace; a brother, Robert Hess; a sister, Alma (Richard) Ruschau; and in-laws, Louis Zumwald, Robert Knapke, Tony Youngpeter, Wilfred Youngpeter, Rosella Budde, Ivo Budde, David Seger and Robert Kunemund.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma and its Men's Holy Name, the Knights of St. John in Maria Stein and Maria Stein American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. He was retired from the former New Idea plant in Coldwater and farmed his whole life.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Montezuma. Burial with military rites will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
Call is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
