Daniel Eilerman
Daniel R. Eilerman, 59, Yorkshire, passed away early Thursday morning, June 13, 2013, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He suffered a sudden cardiac event and had also been recovering from serious burns since May 14, 2013.
He was born Feb. 5, 1954, in Coldwater to Bernard and Mary Lou Moeller Eilerman. On April 1, 1978, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Maria Stein, he married Jeanette Heitkamp Eilerman, who survives.
Also surviving are six siblings, David and Ann Eilerman of Tipp City, Therese and Mark Borchers of Versailles, Julia and Bob Zumburger of Fort Loramie, James and Karen Eilerman of North Star, Phillip and Karen Eilerman of Bradford and Patrick and Connie Eilerman of Versailles; a brother-in-law, William Broering of Yorkshire; father-in-law, Henry Heitkamp of Maria Stein; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Michael DuLaney of McCartyville, Louis and Deb Heitkamp of Maria Stein, Harry and Marge Heitkamp of Maria Stein, Mary Ruth and David Feltz of Cassella, Chris and Bill Meinerding of Fort Loramie, Rosie and Randy Bruns of Coldwater and Ted and Kelly Heitkamp of Chickasaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his father; a sister, Wanda Broering; mother-in-law, Alvira Heitkamp; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Heitkamp.
He was a 1972 graduate of Versailles High School. He also obtained machine maintenance certification, attending adult studies at the Apollo Career Center in Lima. He was employed 37 years at the Minster Machine Co. and had also owned and operated Golf Carts Sales and Service, a.k.a. Cart Shack. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church and was a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge, Mercer County Elks and the Newport Sportsman Club.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be given to the Osgood Life squad or a charity of the donor's choice.
