Kelly Wendel
Kelly Sue Wendel, 47, Celina, died at 8:15 p.m. June 5, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 17, 1966, in Troy, to Bill and Virginia (Sutton) Wright. She married Larry Kremer in August 1988, and he died in April 1999. On Sept. 27, 2008, she then married Jerry L. Wendel, who survives in Celina.
She was a certified personal assistant at the Laurels of Shane Hill in the assisted living area, and for many years she had been a waitress at the former Betty's Restaurant in Coldwater. She lived the majority of her life in Mercer County and was a graduate of Celina High School. She had been involved with horses all her life and competed in showmanship and barrel racing. She was involved with the Cancer Association of Mercer County and participated in Hope Fest activities.
Survivors also include a son, Andy (Theresa) Kremer of Coldwater; two stepsons, Steve and Corey Kremer of Celina; two brothers, David (Louanna) Gwinn of Greenville, and Scott (Teresa) Wright of Sidney; three sisters, Lynn Nye of Dayton; Mary Jo Sharer of Texas, and Karen Wright of California; and two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Christopher.     
Deceased is one sister, Kathy Boyer.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Rev. Steve Savage officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
