Alice B. Fleckenstein Clune, 62, Minster, passed away at her residence on May 23, 2013. She had suffered from ovarian cancer for nearly three years.

She was born Nov. 15, 1950, in Piqua, to Ferd and Marie Kuether Fleckenstein, who are deceased. On Sept. 18, 1971, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, she married Donald A. Clune, who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Cheryl (Scott) Gibler, Tipp City, Ryan (Hollie) Clune, Tipp City, Keith (Brandi) Clune, Fort Loramie, and Doug Clune, Troy; nine grandchildren, Madeline, Megan and Ellie Gibler, and Zachary, Thad, Eve, Rylie, Addison and Lylah Clune; seven siblings, Ted (Linda) Fleckenstein, Fort Loramie, Ralph (Carol) Fleckenstein, Fort Loramie, Doris (Tim) Hoying, Anna, Mary Jane Knapke, Maria Stein, Patricia Fleckenstein, Fort Loramie, Sara (Tim) Cotterman, Sidney, Bill (Ann) Thieman, Minster; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Linus (Sandy) Clune, St. Henry, Dolores (Lester) Hartings, St. Henry, Paul (Janet) Clune, New Weston, Urban (Peg) Clune, St. Henry, Carol (Bob) Beckman, Coldwater, and Dave (Janice) Clune, St. Henry.

Deceased are a brother-in-law, Louis Knapke; and a nephew, Phillip Thieman.

She was a 1968 graduate of Fort Loramie High School and was primarily a homemaker. Over the years she worked part time at Heritage Manor, Minster, and also was a home health aide and daycare provider.

She attended St. Michael Catholic Church and was active in St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. She also was a member of the Fort Loramie Alumni Band and was a band parent booster. She also was a retired volunteer member of the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad.

She loved entertaining her grandchildren, enjoyed reading, attending Curves and many years of Wednesday night league bowling. She was an "outdoors" person, enjoyed gardening, taking walks, bike rides, pontoon rides and ice skating.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
