Genevieve Siebert
Genevieve L. Siebert, 90, Rockford, died at 5:40 a.m. April 15, 2013, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born March 27, 1923, in Liberty Township to Samuel and Lela Myers Leininger. On July 20, 1946, she married Donald E. Siebert, who preceded her in death Nov. 11, 2002.
Surviving are one son, Gary Siebert of Rockford; one daughter, Janice (Norman) Holcomb, New Bremen; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Gene Leininger.
She worked at what is now the Mercer County Farm Service Agency in Celina before becoming a bookkeeper at Middendorf Stockyards, Celina, where she worked for over 25 years. She also worked beside her husband, Don, with farming. She lived in the area all her life and was a member of Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Richard VanHorn officiating. Burial will be in Buck Cemetery, Frahm Pike, Celina.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
