Mildred Niekamp
Mildred R. Niekamp, 90, Coldwater, died Feb. 21, 2013, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 21, 1922, in Sidney to the late Julius and Dorothy Schaff Luthman. On Sept. 6, 1941, she married Adrian Niekamp, who died Aug. 30, 1981.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita (Ralph) Schmit of Celina and Linda (Richard) Steinbrunner of Montezuma; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Edna Muhlenkamp of Celina.
Also deceased are a son and daughter-in-law, James and Arlene Niekamp; a son-in-law, Dan Kinninger; and a brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Luella Luthman.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and worked many years at the former Betties Restaurant in Coldwater. She volunteered at Mercer County Community Hospital and was a member of the Coldwater Eagles Auxiliary.
Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
