Cyril Siefring
Cyril W. Siefring, 93, New Weston, died Feb. 14, 2013, at Kindred Hospital, Dayton.
He was born May 11, 1919, in Burkettsville, to Henry and Agnes (Reier) Siefring. On May 6, 1942, he married Romilda Bergman, who survives in New Weston.
Also surviving are seven children, Delores (Robert) Lennartz, Vandalia, Mary Jean (Paul) Meyer, Versailles, Arthur (Eileen) Siefring, New Weston, Eileen (Larry) Dues, St. Henry, Janice (Dennis) Rindler, St. Henry, Linda (Joseph) Schmitmeyer, Versailles, and Deborah (Roger) Homan, Celina; 33 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Alfreda Rose, St. Henry, Lucille Kramer, Celina, Esther Evers-Wuebker, Fort Recovery, Mary Liette, Burkettsville, Mildred Mendenhall, Coldwater, Eulalia Zumberger, Anna, Jeanette (Paul) Lennartz, St. Marys, and Virginia (Robert) Schaefer, Fort Recovery; and a sister-in-law, Irene Siefring, New Weston.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Siefring; a granddaughter, Renee Homan; three brothers, Aloys Siefring, Herbert Siefring and Elmer Siefring; a sister, Florentine Siefring; sisters-in-law, Hilda Siefring, Rita Siefring, Laurena Kramer, Marie Bergman and Wilma Bergman; and brothers-in-law, Ralph Rose, Leon Kramer, Walter Evers, Victor Wuebker, Hubert Liette, Ronald Mendenhall, John Zumberger, Lawrence Kramer, Leander Bergman and Elmer Bergman.
He was a farmer and member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and its Men's Society.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
