* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

John Daniel
The Rev. John W. Daniel Sr., 80, St. Marys, died at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 21, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Pineville, Ky., to Willie Lee and Icy Mae Partin Daniel. On Jan. 13, 1951, he married Pauline Rhodes, who survives.
Also surviving are his four children, Laban (Kathy) Daniel, St. Marys, the Rev. Alva (Cheryl) Daniel, St. Marys, Sandra (David) Stammer, Blancester, and Edmund (Carmen) Daniel, St. Marys; his siblings, Beatrice Daniels, Lafayette, Ind., James Daniel, Louisville, Ky., Jerleen Mason, Pineville, Ky., Hazel Roark, Pineville, and Jerry Daniel, Lafayette, Ind.; four half-sisters, Bertha Buis, Francis Chandler, Beulah Limkin and Patty Jo Davis; 10 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three children, Icy Yvonne Daniel, John W. Daniel Jr. and Benjamin Lee Daniel; his siblings, Willie Lee Daniel Jr., Sarah Jane Gibson, Hershel Daniel and Charles Daniel; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Terry Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to St. Marys Missionary Baptist Church.
