Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Betty Florence
Betty June Florence, 73, Coldwater, died at 6 p.m. Oct. 22, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Aug. 10, 1939, in Celina, to Ruel and Eathyle Kuhn Harner. On Nov. 12, 1957, she married Glen Florence, who survives in Coldwater.
Also surviving are four children; Leisa (Tim) Pearson, Mark Florence, Doug (Annie) Florence and Lorna (Rusty) Miller, all of Coldwater; a sister, Kathy (Vern) Wendel, Celina; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a granddaughter, Carrie Florence.
She belonged to Erastus United Methodist Church and its Ladies Fellowship Society, Washington Township Central Committee, the Mercer County Republican Party and the Mercer County Farm Bureau Advisory Council, She was an avid supporter of the Mercer County Fair.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at Erastus United Methodist Church, Erastus.
Calling is 1-9 p.m today at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Erastus United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be given to Tree Replacement at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
