Hikers walking from St. Marys to 40-Acre Pond during the 43rd annual Walk With Nature on Sunday could learn about life on the canal prior to 1840, when the Girty brothers began the earliest settlement in St. Marys. The Girty's Town Rendezvous Club reenacted the scene.
