* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

State agricultural engineer Terry Mescher takes a sample of liquid hog manure from a settling tank at the Ted Heitkamp farm near Maria Stein last week. The test is being conducted to see if it's economically feasible to transport the waste out of the Grand Lake Watershed.
