* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Geary Wessel
Geary L. Wessel, 76, St. Marys, died July 2, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 24, 1936, in St. Marys to Earl "Heinie" and Alfrieda Quellhorst Wessel. On Dec. 29, 1955, he married Betty Knapp, who died July 5, 2002.
Surviving are four children, Thressa (Timothy) Adams, Elgin, Laurie (Randy) McDorman, Mendon, Bryan (Judy) Wessel, Cridersville, and Bruce (Cheryl) Wessel, Delphos; a sister, Mary Ann (James) Rempe, St. Marys; a brother, James (Eileen) Wessel, St. Marys; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A great-grandson is deceased.
He served 20 years in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, and later retired from the former Huffy Corp. in Celina. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys, and the Spencerville Veterans of Foreign Wars. A 1954 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, he received carrier of the year honors from Lima News and Dayton Daily News. He assisted in building the Memorial Park bridge in St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial with military rites will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery near Mendon.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
