Educators' rights double taxpayers' burden

It's a term that continues to stir debate over the right of Ohio's public employees to retire and return to work while pocketing a taxpayer-funded pension and salary. COLUMBUS - Field events dominated the action for local athletes on Friday at the state track meet. The finals were completed in all field events involving local athletes with the exception of Division II's long jump and pole vault.

COLUMBUS - Friday's portion of the state track meet featured finals in only one running event, the 3,200- meter relays, but three local teams provided good results.

COLUMBUS - Semifinal heats were run in the shorter running races to determine the nine finalists to compete in each of these events on Saturday. Several local athletes were able to survive these heats and will have a chance to contend for a state championship in their events.
