* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Victor Schneider
Victor W. Schneider, 95, St. Marys, formerly of Dayton, died at 4:05 p.m. May 12, 2012, at Otterbein Lifestyle Choices.
He was born May 7, 1917, in New Bremen, to Otto and Alma Doenges Schneider. On July 12, 1944, he married Hannah Shewmon, who died Oct. 28, 2009.
Surviving are two children, Richard (Beverly) Schneider, Dayton, and Jane (Kayne) White, Englewood; a sister, Rosemary Williams, St. Marys; three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
He was a 1935 graduate of New Bremen High School. An Army veteran of World War II, he served as a staff sergeant in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters. He retired from McCall Publishing, Dayton, where he worked as a linotype operator. He was a member of Shiloh Congregational Church, Dayton.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Meyer Community Chapel on the campus of Otterbein, the Rev. Vince Lavieri officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 10 a.m. Friday until the time of services at Otterbein.
Contributions may be made to the Otterbein Benevolent Fund.
