Snow showers will continue this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust from 20 to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of one-half inch to 2 inches. Visibility will be restricted at times in the heavier showers.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Herbert Miller
Herbert M. Miller, 86, Chattanooga, died at 11:34 p.m. April 21, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Willshire, to Carl F. and Gertrude Brewster Miller. On Dec. 3, 1950, he married Florence Schumm, who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Karen (Joe) Bennett, Celina; five siblings, Carl Laverne (Martha) Miller, Monroe, Ind., Kenneth (Dee) Miller, Demotte, Ind., Ruth Werner, Zelienople, Pa., Emilene Henkle, Rockford, and Catherine (Paul) Eichler, Rockford; and a grandson.
Deceased are two sisters, Helen Linn and Anna Lou Kosier.
A graduate of Willshire High School, he served with the U.S. Army during World War II, taking part in the Battle of the Bulge.
He retired as captain of security at Lima State Hospital in 1983 after 23 years service. He also did electrical work and farmed.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Rockford, Celina V.F.W., Geneva American Legion and the Willshire American Legion.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. William Maki officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the church. The VFW will conduct a service at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
