Ronald Bruns
Ronald A. "Ronnie" Bruns, 46, of Fairborn, died at 7:40 p.m. March 12, 2012, at Wright Patterson Medical Center, Dayton.
He was born Feb. 14, 1966, in Van Wert, to Roger A. "Butch" and Cathy Jo Resor Bruns, who are deceased. On Aug. 15, 1990, he married Kendra J. Johnson, who survives.
Other survivors are two children, Olivia Justine Bruns and Mason Anton Bruns, of Fairborn,and two sisters, Trudy L. Bedwell, Rockford, and Brandy Phillips, Rockford.
He joined the U.S. Navy in 1984 and served during Desert Storm before retiring in 1997. He served on the USS Pratt and USS Deyo and later as a naval recruiter in Van Wert. He was a member of the Van Wert American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts and a 1984 graduate of Parkway High School.
Services are 6 p.m. Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, the Rev. Jim Clayton officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Van Wert VFW and American Legion posts.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
