John Burnett
John W. Burnett, 78, Celina, formerly of San Diego, Calif., died at 6:25 p.m. March 8, 2012, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born April 13, 1933, in Muncie, Ind., to Oscar and Mamie Valentine Brumett. His wife, Ruth Burnett, is deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra D. Burnett, Rockford; a brother, Marion (Martha) Claxton, Celina; and a sister, Margaret (Richard) Carrier, Muncie, Ind.
Three brothers, Robert Brumett, Charles Vermillion and James Brumett, are deceased.
He formerly worked at the U.S. Post Office in San Diego and served in the U.S. Navy.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie.
Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, has charge of arrangements.
