* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Harry "Benny" Young Jr.
Former Mendon resident Harry Benjamin "Benny" Young Jr., 57, Summerfield, Fla., died Feb. 16, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident along Interstate 75 in Ocala, Fla.
He was born Dec. 7, 1954, in Celina to Harry Benjamin "Bennie" Sr. and Doris Henderson Young, who both survive in Mendon.
Also surviving are three children, Harry B. Young III, Mount Vernon, Doris (Matthew) Crim, Mount Vernon, and Crystal (Brent) Kline, Van Wert; eight siblings, Mike (Tanya) Young, Dave (Lori) Young and Bill Young, all of Mendon, Jim Young, Marshall, Mich., Deb (Tom) Wycuff, Celina, Penny (Greg) Zizelman, Mendon, and Sue (Greg) Hinegardner and Ginger (Jeff) Bollenbacher, all of Rockford; and three grandchildren.
He was a self-employed truck driver, had worked as a welder at Schuck Metal Fabrication, Celina, and had worked with his father at Bennie Young Construction, Mendon. He attended Mendon-Union Schools and Mendon First Church of God.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mendon church, the Rev. Dean Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at W. H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, and one hour prior to service Thursday at the church.
