* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Vera Schmiesing
Vera A. Schmiesing, 93, Minster, died at 12:05 a.m. Sept. 6, 2011, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 13, 1918, in Minster to Frank and Mary Schmitmeyer Meyer. On June 11, 1940, she married Lawrence Schmiesing, who died Jan. 16, 1987.
Surviving are children, Dorothy (Robert) Lammers, Minster, James (Marilyn) Schmiesing, Castle Rock, Colo., Robert (Susan) Schmiesing, Minster, Anne (Richard) Robbins, Houston, Texas, and Richard (Susannah) Schmiesing, Ecuador; siblings, Marie Huelsman and Robert (Flo) Meyer, all of Botkins, Roman (Mary) Meyer, Coldwater, Rita (Stan) Wuebker, Minster, Urban (Eileen) Meyer, Minster, Dolores (Bob) Vollmer, Lusk, Wy., Jeanne Kemper, Minster; sister-in-law, Mary Schmiesing, Minster; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are brothers-in-law, Ralph Frey, Larry Kemper and Ralph Huelsman; and one great-grandchild.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and Minster Eagles Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Heritage Manor and an office manager for Schmiesing Refrigeration.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 9 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 8-8:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
