Raymond Crouch
Raymond C. "Bud" Crouch, 83, Coldwater, died at 4:58 a.m. Aug. 2, 2011, at his home.
He was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Celina to Clarence and Gladys Hole Crouch. On June 3, 1949, he married Luella "Shorty" Roth Crouch, who died Sept. 28, 2001.
Surviving are three children, Carla (James) Ransom, Raeford, N. C., Jackie (Art Kaiser) Weigel-Kaiser, Celina, Tim (Cheri) Crouch, Coldwater; a daughter-in-law, Lucy (Doug) Strickler, Middlepoint; a brother, Lyle Crouch, North Star; a sister, Marilyn Smith, Celina; four granddaughters; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Sandy; a son Tom; a son-in-law, Tony Weigel; brothers, Richard and Max; a sister Mary Margaret; and a granddaughter.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Coldwater Eagles, Celina Moose Lodge, Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Coldwater American Legion Post. He had served with the U.S. Army.
He was a Coldwater police chief for 15 years and retired from the Mercer County Highway Department.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
